Chiffchaffing Chiffchaff!

I heard my first Chiffchaff of the year today as I was driving out of Coed y Dinas in Welshpool OK it's not quite as 'glamorous' as an Osprey! But at least it's another sign of Spring. Lots of swallows about too. The predicted high pressure system during the next few days should surely bring lots more of our summering bird visitors to our islands. Personally I cant wait to see my first Pied Flycatcher a bird which always lifts my spirits.

    I heard the first ever Chiff Chaff in my garden in Penybontfawr, last week.
