Pied Flycatcher

Spent the day at Lake Vyrnwy on arrival went to the information office and was told the Flycatcher was not about, Just before leaving the hide for dinner and along the path spotted one and got a few shots that show a ringed bird have not gone through all the photo's yet but so far unable to read it, After dinner went back down and 5 minutes later got these you can't see from these but this bird also had a ring on the same leg so possibly the same bird, No female were seen but glad to know they are here.

  2. Yeah, light was a bit rubbish had the ISO at 800 but worth another go in a few weeks, Grey Wagtail also showing well there too.

  3. Nice meeting you today Phil at Vyrnwy. The images are great, a very difficult bird to photograph as they usually turn out with a green tinge from leaves. Not sure which I like best. Looks like a first for the Vyrnwy RSPB this year, well done.

  5. Try a bit of fill flash Phil - the built in not as controllable as an external unit but should at least allow you to drop the ISO down - may be worth a go
