Horrible, dark and wet at CYD this afternoon, but a pair of Pintail arrived at the bottom end of the lake. They later moved a little closer which enabled this record shot to be made. They disappeared when the sliding door was opened and closed with a loud bang, I 'd better not tell you what happened next!
Also seen were a small group of Long-tailed Tits, a single Goldcrest, few Tufted, Teal etc.
Hope you saw the Pintail Wynn.
Pintail is a fabulous duck in this plumage - you didn't get 'grumpy' did you?? How was access - still over the fence?
