GGS mystery

Spent 4 hours scouring Cwm Biga over to Hafren and no sighting of the GGS. Not much else around in the forest either. A pair of majestic ravens, a couple of woodpeckers and the odd buzzard and kite. No winter thrushes, siskins or crossbills. But the cockrell is still there....

    Amazed the chicken is still there - the raptors etc must be a bit dumb - #freemeal

    The GGS was also very elusive last year. In the past couple of years a load of new areas around Cwm Biga have been felled so it could be anywhere, if indeed it did hang around

    True but it is now the fourth year in a row that the GGS has appeared in more or less the same place. As I said though I did spend hours up and down Cwm Biga on foot. Four years ago 'it' was over on the Hafren side. I'll try again in a week or so since it's not too far for me to go.
