Llyn Coed-y-dinas pm


Goldcrest, 2 male Bullfinch, 2 Common Snipe just visible, female Reed Bunting, Red Kite, Wigeon, Tufted, Heron, Cormorant. Blue Tits busy feeding in reeds.

The water level has dropped and the Kingfisher posts have been washed away. No Kingfisher seen.

Approx 100 Redwing this morning at top of Redbank.

Both female and male Sparrow Hawks in garden as were 3 Redpoll and a single Linnet. Plenty of tits including Marsh, Coal and Long Tailed. Half dozen Green finches.

    To tell you the truth Kev I am quite pleased that the posts have gone as that side of the hide was always taken over by people only interested in getting photos of the Kingfishers, and to hell with anything else! I am sure the MWT will at sometime reinstate the posts as the Kingfishers certainly make the reserve popular.
