Vismig

A walk around the Beacon Ring was enlivened by a good flock of 30-40 Meadow Pipits flying purposefully north at 2-300 feet.

Still 5 Brambling occasionally visiting sunflower feeder in the garden, and a Blackcap briefly in song.

  1. We have a small device we put out most nights in the hopes of recording "Nocmig." Reports from elsewhere in UK are picking up Common Scoter migrating (typically a Bullfinch-like piping and audible wing-beats). No luck with that yet, but often Moorhen and occasionally Coot.
