Bird Group Summer Outings and a Meurig Album

Here is the programme for the Bird Group summer outings in 2025:

Thursday 10 April, RSPB Burton Mere
Wednesday, 18 June, RSPB Ynys Hir
Monday 15 September, RSPB Conwy

All the above events will be by car share, meeting at Llyn Coed-y-Dinas at 0830. Passengers pay driver £10 on the day. Members please bring RSPB membership cards; non-members £5-£7 depending on which reserve. To book a place, email Simon Boyes at montbird@gmail.com or text or whatsapp message him at 07708-328987. Numbers will be limited to 12.

In addition, (unless the forecast is very bad) Simon will lead a Nearly Dawn Chorus walk on Breidden Hill (to Rodney's Pillar) at 0600 on Sunday 4 May with an emphasis on learning bird-song. Meeting place in small car park on minor road by Middletown Hill at SJ297130.

This programme SHOULD be accessible by clicking the tab 'Bird Group' on the toolbar above - but at present (for reasons I don't understand) the link isn't working. If anyone understands html, any ideas welcome!

Many thanks to Meurig Garbutt for these photos taken yesterday at Llyn Coed-y-Dinas: male Reed Bunting, Chiffchaff, and Water Rail (with a small perch)
