Waxwings on the move.....

Waxwings appear to have arrived en masse in the U.K over the past few day, with well over 100 reports on birdguides today alone!! Flock have been ranging from 1's and 2's, to 10's and 20's and even flocks of 100+ up in the north of Scotland. So with this many birds turning up already it's looking like it could be another 'invasion' year (fingers crossed)!! These birds feed mainly on berries, but will feed on other fruits too. They mostly seem turn up in built up areas where there is a good food source. So keep those eyes peeled over the next few days/weeks!!
