Finally I have moved to the county and am now a bona-fide Powysonian!. I live in Machynlleth and last week on the way to Llanidloes 450-500 golden plover were feeding just next to Glaslyn off the main road.

I've been hoping for bramblings in the garden and we have one female so far, hopefully more to follow.

Hen harrier over the house last week too as well as the (almost) daily red kite.
