More Waxwings......

(via Kevin Painter) Went for our usual afternoon ride. Went to Berriew then to Castle Caereinion, stopped about midway after seeing two flocks of Starlings settling in tree tops. About 200 in each flock., did'nt see any Waxwings in amongst them. They were followed very soon after by a flock of Waxwings approx 40+, time about 2.10- 2.15pm. They did'nt land and were travelling in a south/south west direction (towards newtown.) Starlings left in same direction. Closer to castle Caereinion saw 27 Fieldfares running the hedge, another flock of Starlings flew over going in the same direction (again about 200 strong). An afternoon for flocks!!
