Possible Waxwings, Welshpool

Very frustrating birdwatch this lunchtime, as flocks of what could have been Waxwings played hide and seek with me!

As I have never seen one of these spectacular birds in the flesh, I have been keeping my eyes peeled. Walking along a hedge on the Maesydre Recreation Ground today, a number of starling-sized birds flew away and the impression I got was of a very buff coloured breast. Later flocks flew overhead. With my lack of experience of this species, I cannot be sure, but I got the definate impression that they were Waxwings having a good laugh at my expense!
