Waxwings @ Newtown

40+ Waxwings still showing well in the college car park this morning, later increasing to at least 70!!


21 of them were trapped and ringed throughout the course or the day!!

    Nice to see that our local birds are being ringed, well done Paul.Many of the birds are first winter, lacking the bright yellow on the primary edges, and it would be really great if these were trapped and their rings checked out in the future.The Welshpool Waxwings were still around this morning.
