Snipe in the garden this morning, foraging in the spring which keeps the garden pond frost-free. 4 Bramblings joined the Chaffinches taking the fallen sunflower seeds.
Meanwhile, the larger sunflower feeder is emptying in 24 hours at L. Cyd, with the peanuts less popular. Only approx. 50yds x 25yds of open water, but at 4pm was populated by 43 Lapwing, 67 Teal, 152 Mallard, 16 Tufted duck, 5 adult Mute Swan and 92 Wigeon, the majority of which came in together and called and displayed with enthusiasm - probably new local arrivals.
Morrison's have plenty of great rowan berries, but only Blackbirds taking them.
