32 Waxwings were present again this morning in Morrisons car park, with 9 of them being trapped and ringed by myself and Tony Cross. On the plus side the birds were in very good condition, with their weights all being well above average. On the not so plus side, very few berries left in the car park now, so where will they be forced to move to next!
At least 30 Waxwings have been ringed in the county now over the past few weeks, hopefully 1 or more of these birds will get re-trapped as they travel south through Britain and in to France, so we can get a better understanding in to their movement and way of living/surviving!
