
Had the first Siskin on the feeders for some time, a little female.Awalk in Powys Park produced a male Goshawk not far from the town entrance, where it settled on a tree before flying off towards the castle.Redwing and a single fieldfare were feeding on berries in a garden at the town entrance.
A Woodcock flew off from its feeding area top of Red Bank, and a smart pair of male Bullfinches were seen at the same spot.The garden feeders are attracting as many as 30 Goldfinches, together with half a dozen Greenfinches.
Lovely shot Brian, great lighting - as yet no Siskin seen on our feeders, although they were largely absent last winter as well not a major surprise. Smaller birds now coming back to the feeders in droves although can't do much with this horrible flat grey light!
