Coed-y-dinas and Dolydd Hafren

This morning an hour or so at Coed-y-dinas produced a Nuthatch,Great Spotted Woodpecker,15 Lapwing,2 Teal,10 Goosander,6 plus Tufted etc, and the ice is retreating.
In the afternoon Dolydd Hafren produced 1 Greensandpiper,20 plus Curlew,12 Goosander,Peregrine,Kestrel,2 Buzzard,4 Reed Bunting,8 Teal,Mute Swan,2 Little Grebe,and about 4.30 thousands of Starlings.
No Bittern was seen, but I left four fresh fish in front of first hide.
I make no excuses for putting a picture up of Brown Hare, but it was almost dark and the picture was taken at 1/20 second at f5.6 at 5000iso, Hand held NO!Bit noisy but is'nt it amazing what these digital things will do.I could just make out the Hare in the gloom.

  1. Am with you Brian - the new tech allows you to take pics than even 4 years ago would have been completely out of the question - where is it all going to end?? Cracking shot!
