A couple of hours bird watching locally today proved to be very productive. First I headed to Lymore pools as I had been told the Glossy Ibis was still around! Sure enough it was still there, hanging around the upper pool and surrounding fields. 2-3 Swifts also put in an appearance.
I then headed to Welshpool to scan the flooded fields opposite Charlies. Several birds were using this flooded area including 4 Arctic Terns, 1 Common Gull, 2 Little Ringed Plovers, 8+ Common Sandpipers, 2 Shelducks, 13 Tufted Ducks and 10+ Goosanders. 7+ Swifts were also seen flying over.
