An afternoon at Penarth

Despite good intentions, the Water rail remained elusive, but with the sun shining on a crisp autumn day, perhaps it was a day to enjoy our more visible species.

  2. Thanks. Both the male and female Kingfishers were showing well. The male made several passes across the water, perching in the willow next to the path; looked fantastic in the sun. A few minutes later, the female landed in the reeds with a beetle (I think?). Cranked the ISO up to 1600 to get a decent shutter speed and took many pictures!
