Great shot for the records, just what is needed Phil. What a foul day for photography!
ReplyDeleteI counted the same flock at about the same time and got to 101 the first time and 105 the second time. Later in the afternoon Mike Shrubb and Libby Andrews had a superb count of 120 in an Ash tree close to the footbridge in the west of the site. I think this may be a Welsh record (I will try to check whether it is...)
ReplyDeleteSome great photographs on this blog. Graham Williams
cracker - numbers are amazing - great shot Lauren
ReplyDeleteWhere are they?! Which town are we talking about?!
ReplyDeleteNewtown
ReplyDeleteP.S. Just found that in a Welsh context numbers still have a way to go. Annoyingly (!) there were 250 in Cardiff in December 2010. Still, no reason why the maximum flock in Newtown should not increase as there seem to be birds scattered all over town
