Good weekend in garden

Yesterday morning we had a visiting redpoll - not very common in our garden- then, as if that wasn't good enough, a waxwing flew into the Bramley apple tree, and tucked into one of the remaining apples! Wish I could take photos like the amazing ones on the Blog, but never mind, it was a great sight nevertheless. We had a couple briefly 2 years ago, but otherwise haven't seen them here before.
Today, a brambling, so a good weekend!

  3. Thanks all - washing up is so much more fun in the winter as the window looking out onto garden is right by the kitchen sink - it can take hours though! Not really worrying about the photos - the memories are pretty good too - but love to see all of yours, so thanks for those.
