Nice one - been up there a few times looking for it!
ReplyDeleteI have no Idea where this is could someone post a grid refrence please
ReplyDeleteI had a feeling you were going to get this one Chris.
ReplyDeleteI was going up today, oh well, Ring Ouzel up the Elan Valley, not to bad.
Phil - Bird was near Parking/Picnic at SN 870 892 today. Last year it showed a lot in clear fell to the West of the road between this point and the T junction just to the North.
ReplyDeleteThanks Chris
ReplyDeleteWell done Chris, if it hangs around it would be nice to see this one!
ReplyDeleteThere's a bit of pot luck here Brian - it's where I photo'd the bird in January. It has a large area of clearfell in the area Chris mentions but also heads up to another patch around and above Cwmbiga farm so it's a tricky bird to get close to. been there for a number of winters tho now so it's worth a shot. Best thing to do is to head down the hill from the T junction (towards Llyn Clywedog), at the bottom of the hill there's a rough parking area to the right that allows you to scan the whole area of clearfell - where Chis saw the bird is 50 yards or so further on.
ReplyDeleteWell done Chris, beat us all to it! I've been up a couple of times recently too.
