Having seen Fieldfare in the garden every morning in the week, I was excited at the prospect of getting some shots of them. Not a single Fieldfare showed, but nothing is guaranteed, especially nature photography. Still, the day was entertaining, especially with over a hundred Starling in the adjacent field and a guest appearance of the lone Waxwing. I'm sure the shot of the Blackbird will prompt comment from 'Anonymous', but what can I say, I like the water droplets in the sunshine.

Well done Edward -AND your very own Waxie-hope he keeps coming too. Your Fieldfares will surely return-ours are in and out like yo-yos.
ReplyDeleteLovely stuff Edward - just started getting the Starling in our garden as well. Bad news for you on the way from LCyD!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Dare I speculate and say Kingfisher, or even an Otter?! I suspect a massive injection of jealousy.
ReplyDeleteYep Kingie - 4 sightings this morning. Re the otter Phil suspects he saw one lying by the Welshpool bypass earlier in the week - not there today though
ReplyDeleteNice Set Edward
ReplyDeleteLove the Starling with the water droplets and a little bit of rain as well. Great to see a Waxwing on an apple instead of berries.
