Sparrowhawk

(via Russell Edwards) It appears in the garden every day at 8am, 12pm and 4pm with great regularity, but never appears to catch anything.

A striking bird which is a nuisance, but lovely to watch!

Hope you enjoy it and hopefully, I will be able to contribute more footage at some future date.

  1. Now that is a bird I would never describe as a nuisance! Regularly in my garden and they are stunning - if they take the odd feeding bird then that's fine by me, a damned sight less than are taken by cats!!

  2. Great footage and a cracking bird. The local Sparrowhawk is starting to take notice of our feeders, and striking is the operative word, I hadn't appreciated how fast they accelerate. I havn't seen any evidence of him catching anything in the garden, but the day is coming...
