Today at l c y d.
I am seriously thinking that the Arctic Tern I and others reported at l c y d last Friday, was in fact a Common Tern. I have substantially enlarged my shots and there is clearly a black tip to the bill ?
Interesting Trevor - have looked at my tern pics again and I can't see a black tip to the bill - have a look at the flight shot in my post on 19 April. Does that mean we've had two separate birds?

Mark, I have done hard copy prints of the Tern, it shows no black tip on the bill.of my images, must have been a trick of the light, sorry.
