lcyd and the `undercover D`

I was awoken this morning by a routine call from one of my `informants`, I  asked him what was `going down today` - `what`s the word on the street? He said he had heard that a Kingfisher was flying into lcyd at around 16.40hrs , I paid him his 10 shillings (the going rate) and an extra 5 bob to keep his mouth shut if he was approached by two guys from the press, Bryan and Mark.
I silently entered the hide at 16.07hrs this day, a pleasant young man was standing by the left window. I quickly showed him some ID and explained I was `packing heat` for a showdown, he wisely vacated his position. My `nark` had kept schtum and neither Mark or Bryan were insitue
The kingfisher soon arrived and I managed to get a few quick shots in.
A pair of Gadwall were feeding nearby, but no sign of the Egret
