Water Rail in Middletown

Clare and I were surprised to see this on our garden camera trap on 22 August; still there the next day (at midday). Just next to this part of the stream is our overgrown pond - a more typical habitat. The stream is the border with Shropshire, so this one is in No Rail's Land!  Also on the night of 20 August, the same camera caught an otter and cub, climbing over the large rock.
