HAWFINCH POWIS PARK AM

Met Mark in Powis Park this morning and were rewarded with 9 Hawfinch. They were as stated by Paul in the trees adjoining the car park, and flew from one of the road to the other. Best to listen for their call as they are very high up and look quite small. If you walk down the road towards Welshpool and stop at the end of the castle itself, then you will be in the area where they were seen. Sorry about the picture quality due to the high ISO, although Marks may be better.

Also noted were at least 4 Bullfinch, 2 Nuthatch, 3 Goldcrest, 25+ Goldfinch, Mistle Thrush, several Redwing, 1 Marsh Tit, plus Mark had 2 Green Woodpecker
