Garden Feeder news from Middletown

We have great numbers of the most expected species: especially Goldfinches and Greenfinches (making a welcome but expensive comeback). However, a few absentees: where are our Coal Tits, Nuthatches and the single Sparrowhawk that used to come terrorizing? And I've only seen one Siskin all week. Any other similar findings from around the county?

  1. Here in my garden at Llandyssil,a couple Coal Tit are regular visitors. Nuthatch not seen many times this winter. Siskin are rare visitors here.

  2. Hi Simon, we have your coal tits and sparrow hawk but would like to swap some of our blue tits for a greenfinch or two because we've not seen one for weeks or even months down this way. Suffering a bad chest so don't think I'll make it next Wednesday which is a shame. Wouldn't say no to a lesser spotted or a hawfinch while you're at it. Eryl
