Excellent Chris, wonder if it will linger a while as there are plenty of small fish etc in the shallows. Looks very light on the breast.
ReplyDeleteBreast was pale i guess, what's the significance...does it vary between sexes? Hope you have some luck seeing it, my pic was taken with a phone, hopefully you can get something a little better!
DeleteTo dedication comes the rewards....well done Chris and good to have a bittern in Montgomeryshire
ReplyDeleteNo sign of it late morning, and Mark had luck earlier. Not sure why it's a bit light Chris, just a variation I suppose.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great shot for a phone, I would only get its head in with the longer lens, and I can't make a phone call on it!
Sorry that should read Mark had no luck earlier
DeleteI had no luck either; popped down at 8.20 this morning and couldn't see it.
DeleteHi Brian, Edd, think you could have best chance at dusk, it climbed up the reeds to preen where there's more space and maybe needs to waits for cover of darkness when it's safer to do this..that's my theory....
DeleteWhat a great find and that it's so close to the hide is making me very jealous!
