Dolydd Hafren

This morning there were 2 european white front geese at Dolydd Hafren with the canada geese, seen from the second hide. Other highlights were 4 stonechat (all females), 2 chiffchaff, c. 120 curlew, 50+ lapwing, 2 shelduck, 1 little egret, over 100 wigeon. Raptors included 2 red kite, 3 sparrowhawk and a minimum of 8 buzzard on the reserve. The total number of species we, and J Morris, saw today was 60.

    Well done, that's quite a total for such a horrible cold day. Great to have the White Fronted back again.
