Adult Med. Gull

One at Llyn Coed-y-Dinas today. Distinguishing feature - Lacks left foot (!).
Also immature Shelduck - present for last 2 weeks, and Reed Warblers feeding at least 4 young. About 280 Black-Headed Gull chicks now flying, The Great Crested Grebes appear to have had their third nest failure.
I am hopeful that with the forecast hot weather, the water level will continue to drop, and an expanse of mud will appear. When this has occurred in previous years the site has attracted breeding plumage Ruff, Black-Tailed Godwit, Greenshank as well as smaller waders as they begin Autumn migration.
