Peregrine on the table...

When I'm advised of "possible Peregrine" visiting gardens, the species concerned is pretty much guaranteed to be Sparrowhawk. Not this time!

These pictures were taken today in Newtown by Sioned Griffiths.  Full marks to Sioned for sneaking up on the bird and crouching behind railings to record a quite amazing 'garden tick'.
