female marsh harrier at Dolydd hafren this morning appeared to take a young coot out of the pool behind the second hide then flew towards Welshpool , also redshank in nice summer plumage , 3 pairs of little ringed plovers still on nests , pair of oystercatchers who nested too low on shingle washed out but pair nesting on field down lane , hopefully they,ll hatch before it gets ploughed ! , 8 common sandpipers most standing around guarding nest sites , male yellow wagtail dropped in briefly, mute swans have got 3 cygnets in front of 1st hide , seem to be quite early , 1st i,ve seen this year , 2 med gulls still at Llyn coed y dinas plus a barnacle goose which flew off at 12:40
