BURGESS CROFT (Fri 14th)

Friday 7.30 am looking out of the kitchen window whilst making the morning wake up coffee, and normally watching the blackbirds and house sparrows that live on the cfoft i noticed a number of birds actng slightlt different to the sparrows normal antic,s.  On looking with the bino,s I counted  17 Robins. Later in the morning two flocks of Goldfinch both (30 plus ) in each flock and just before 12 a mixed flock of finches.  Chaffinch, greenfinch and goldfinch c100 birds.. All the flocks and the Robins flew from the Croft towards the town centre heading south.. Do they know something we dont!!!.

  1. So that's where all the birds have gone Kevin. Had a large flock of Goldfinch 50+ on the feeders today, but little else.
Goldfinch have had another good year.
