Gannet - Welshpool - 12th June

An adult Gannet was rescued from the Welshpool bypass today, and taken into care. Thanks to Wendy V, the vets and other people involved!

Update : Gannet is 'concussed but feisty' at the wildlife hospital this morning (13th). It looks promising that the bird will make a full recovery and be released on the Welsh coast soon.

The Gannet had initially appeared at Llyn Coed y Dinas at 10am but was immediately mobbed by Black-headed Gulls and flew towards the bypass where it presumably crash landed before being rescued.
