A Blue Tit with melanism (i.e. abnormal dark-coloured pigment in the feathers) was seen by Wendy V yesterday in the Newtown area. The bird is very similar to the one at Trewern in January 2015 (see Monts County Report 2015)

Wow! looks like some amazing exotic! well done.
ReplyDeleteJust tried comparing with web picture of a blue tit - so the white is black, blue is muted and the yellow is darker? - it does look so exotic - many thanks for posting.
