Terrible time for thrushes
It appears that this weather has spelled disaster for our Song Thrushes. Within a mile of the house, we have lost four over the last few days :-( My neighbour reported two. A third was found dead outside the house yesterday and a fourth on the walk in to work this morning. I fear that my simple pleasure of hearing them singing loudly around the house might be over, for this year at least! :-(

I hope that since the snow has melted you have heard the song of the song thrush again Tammy. We had similar concerns, especially as we had a very weak bird in the garden, but are pleased to say there are now at least 4 singing around the Wern again. Fingers crossed that things are not as disastrous as we thought.
ReplyDeleteThat's good, Sue. I did finally hear one this morning in the distance, so fingers crossed.
