Tern at Llyn Coed-y-Dinas today.

Some debate about the identity of this tern today. Arctic's tail streamers should extend beyond the wing tips, which is not the case with this bird. If Arctic, the bill should not have a black tip, but this bird clearly has a darker colour there. Common Tern has an orange bill, and this is blood red. Arctic has shorter legs and a shorter bill. When feeding, at no time did the bird hover, but hunted in the manner of a Black Tern by hawking insects upwind, which it did repeatedly.
To me the jizz was of an Arctic, but opinions from others very welcome.
