Ceri Ridgeway

Interesting account by Tony Cross on Ruffled Feathers (link on the right), about Crossbill ringing. There were certainly plenty to be found on the Ceri Ridgeway yesterday (flock of 30+), with juveniles present, and song-flight observed. Siskins feeding in the same area.

  2. Nice one Chris. Have spent the last month checking the area but no luck.

  3. Sorry for delay. On the edge of Newtown and Ludlow O.S. maps try the track eastwards from 185871 for about 3 kilometres. All possible sites, including the isolated trees in the clearfell. Optimal location recently has been 213878. Track is accessible by vehicle, but beware of potholes in places.
