Bramblings

We are obviously having a good winter for Bramblings, (see Tony Cross's information on Ruffled Feathers), and I have ringed about a hundred in my garden.
Yesterday, I caught my first foreign-ringed bird this winter, from Belgium, and today, my first "pea throat" - a female. (Thank you, Tony, I had never heard of them!)

    Had a look at some of my Brambling images and found that I have photographed “pea throats” on two different dates, 12th and 21st February 2017. Both males.
