4 tree sparrows on our feeders today were a very pleasant surprise - and seemed to be just as happy on the fat balls as picking up mixed seed from the ground. They were joined by a female reed bunting, and plenty of siskins and goldfinches. These are the first we've seen here this year - if only they'd stay to breed, but they only visit very occasionally and always seem to be passing through. One day perhaps...………...

ReplyDeleteThanks both - one tree sparrow here on Wed, 4 on Thurs, one on Fri, but no sign of any so far today I'm afraid. A couple of redpolls here yesterday as well, which is always a treat.
