Starlings - Dolydd Hafren

There's a major Starling roost at and around Dolydd Hafren - from what I saw yesterday afternoon this involves thousands of birds. No murmuration as such last night although according to a local farmer I had a chat with it had been spectacular over the weekend - as always! Good job really as I was in the wrong place!

Had hoped by staying a bit distant I may get better views but given that every line of sight has hills as a backdrop it's easy to lose the birds and it doesn't make for great images.  I think the only option is to head down to the reserve itself and get under the birds flying in - but no way in the world I'm taking my car down that horrendous track so need to work out how to get there!

Couple of shots last night from between Garthmyl and Berriew, some of the birds perched up before heading onto the reserve - power lines everywhere I'm afraid
