After seven years in the post, I'm retiring from the county recorder role, and I'm delighted to announce that Simon Boyes is now the Montgomeryshire County Bird Recorder!
For those who don’t know Simon, he has lived in the east of the county, in Middletown, since 1980. He spent most of his working life leading bird-watching tours for Ornitholidays, or as ship’s ornithologist on small passenger vessels, mostly to Antarctica. Simon is now looking forward to challenges closer to home!
Simon will be collecting bird records for 2019 from within the county, so please continue sending them in, to the usual address : montbird@gmail.com
