March 25th

With a Chiffchaff singing in the garden, and 1 or possibly 2 Male Brimstone on the wing it was a good day. At Llyn Coed-y-Dinas there were 2 pairs of Egyptian Geese, and a female Pochard, but I did not see the GC Grebe present last week, nor the Goldeneye. A Great Egret was unaware

of my presence as it flew in.

  1. Good work Chris. I wonder if those Egrets are the same ones seen at Doyldd?

  2. I wonder too. I am still hoping their bills turn black and they join a heronry! There is still no breeding record ever in Wales (though in 2017 a pair probably bred across the Dee Estuary on the Wirral).
