ID Challenge

I'd appreciate help identifying this bird, its either a Marsh or Willow Tit. I'm leaning towards Marsh Tit because of the smaller neat bib. Sadly I didn't hear it call so can't identify it that way.

  1. I think it is a Marsh tit: firstly it has got the small white spot at the base of the upper mandible that is hardly ever seen on Willow tit. It has a small bib, no discernible secondary wing panel and the head appears to be glossy.

  2. Thanks Edd. I agree with Michele: a Willow Tit would show a pale panel on wings.
