Wren looking rather down in the mouth

Having intended to thin out the bulrushes in our pond, we were glad that it was a job we hadn't managed to fit in last week, as we watched a wren systematically removing the 'down' from a couple of seedheads, presumably to line her nest. Between each visit, she seemed to take a drink from the shallow water - not surprising really!
