Horror story at Clywedog
The remote camera at Llyn Clywedog revealed a tragic scene at 1629 this afternoon. A Goshawk attacked the juvenile 8B1 who had already fledged, but was on the nest. Sadly the attack was fatal: the bird was found dead below the nest tree. The outspread wings belong to one of the parents. The other juvenile flew off; so did the Gos, with no benefit from the attack, when it saw the juvenile had fallen into bramble. My condolences go to John Williams and his team of volunteer watchers, who monitor the Ospreys lovingly through the season.
