Cattle Egrets at Cors Dyfi, and latest Osprey news

Alwyn Ifans is my 'eyes and ears' at Cors Dyfi: he has two great snippets of news this afternoon. A flock of 10 Cattle Egrets, previously reported from Ynys Hir, have flown upstream and visited the estuary by the Osprey nest.

On the subject of Ospreys, Telyn and Cennen have already departed south for West Africa; but Seiont (now 101 days old) is still with us, being fed and attended by his father Idris. As soon as Seiont migrates, Idris will leave too. At the well established nest at Clywedog, the family all left by 30 Aug.

Many thanks Alwyn, and good luck to the migrating Osprey families.
