Mark Wilson's photo of yesterdays bird comes with accompanying notes which I wouldn't want to misquote so here they are verbatim, " pic - garbage as bird distant, handheld and direct into the glaring sun, even 3
stops over-exposure wasn’t enough".

Well done Mark, excellent record shot.
ReplyDeleteNot so bad Mark; I've just got home after 8 mile walk in the hills.Meadow pipits sharp, Stonechat sharp, Grey Wags sharp. Got to about 25metres of Ring Ouzel with sun behind; All images well out of focus and now totally P----d off.

ReplyDeleteWas the lens properly engaged with the bayonet mount on the camera Meurig?
ReplyDeleteThink so; as the ouzel flew off I turned and snapped a Mipit; Pin sharp! I'm puzzled.
DeleteI had the same in Florida, right on top of a Long Billed Curlew and every photo blurred although it looked ok through the viewfinder.
DeleteOne of life's frustrating mysteries I guess. No problems, even at range on a trip to Bempton cliffs yesterday. Thanks Brian.
