Kingfishers at Penarth

We've been to Penarth 3 times over the past 5 weeks and haven't seen the Kingfishers (either from he 1st hide or on the river). Was wondering if anyone has seen them recently?

Thanks Phil & Caroline

  1. My last visit was May 16th and they were there then.

  2. The Kingfishers abandoned Pwll Penarth a few weeks ago as a result of human disturbance. Kingfisher are legally protected under Schedule 1 legislation and consequently the police are pursuing the matter with the individual concerned. I'm not going to name the culprit, but, for the avoidance of doubt, it was not anyone known to this blog.
